You should go with Arun Sharma Book for Quantitative aptitude where there is Lucid understanding, make sure you give atleast 5 sectional mocks for quants. Focus on weak areas, negative scoring questions and time consumed for the same as well as unattempted questions. Revise your basic cincepts and give more and more mocks plus go through previous year question papers. Firstly you need to find out where you are facing a problem. In most cases the problem is of time. If you are given more time for the questions most people will be able to solve majority of the questions. And the way to deal with time related problems is to practice as much as you can. Give mock tests and solve timed papers. Whenever you are solving a set of questions set a time limit for yourself. Pick up a quant book and solve all the exercises. In this way you can familiarise yourself with questions so that next time you encounter such a question you will know how to solve it. The key is practice.

Find out the fastest way to solve problems. It might be that you are solving the same question but taking a lot of time when there is a faster way available. So know certain shortcuts that can help you.  For this solve exercises and then look at the solutions and try finding out whether a faster way exists.

A lot of practice and mock tests should do the trick.

The Quantitative Ability section tests your ability to analyse and understand the problem rather than cramming. As the nature of every problem is different, it requires application of the mind and knowledge of the tricks, formulas, process of solving teach problem.

Here are some of the points you can follow.

1. Accuracy : Since this section requires you to work with numbers, formulas and even make calculations, the results will heavily depend on the process. Accuracy becomes an important aspect of solving this section.

2. Practice: There is no better way to improve your chances in the Quantitative Ability section than to practice and solve as many questions of as many types as you can. It is only through regular practice that you will not only be able to familiarise yourself with the kind of questions.

3. Time allocation: Time allocation is the key to score well. The time you allot to each question has a bearing on the number of questions you manage to complete.

4. Conceptual clarity: Mathematics is driven by concepts and to improve your performance in this section, clarity of concepts is essential.
