i lost my 10th and 12th certificates. i have xerox copies . Can i apply for passport

You can alternatively use the digital copy of class 10 and 12 marksheet to apply for passport which is available on platform digilocker. All the certificates and documents are digitally signed and legally authorised for fair use. Here is how you can download your certificate from digilocker:

Visit digilocker.gov.in.

Under the ‘education’ section of the DigiLocker website, click on ‘Central Board Of Secondary Education’.

Select Class 10 passing certificate, Class 12 passing certificate, Class 10 marksheet, or Class 12 marksheet whichever is required.
Login using the mobile number registered with CBSE and access your marksheet and/or certificate.

Hi,
Nowadays the DigiLocker have most of the Certificates. If you are passed in recent years ,then your X and XII marksheet would be available in DigiLocker. The DigiLocker Certificate are valid documents as per IT Act of India. So ,you can apply for passport with DigiLocker Certificates.
