Dear Anand ,
As a mechanical student it will difficult to observe wild life because you are mostly spend time with machine equipment but if you interested and passionate with this filed then you can pursue your career in Wild life conversation .
Wildlife conservation careers include working in the areas of wildlife management, environmental science, education, research and development, operations, maintenance, guest services and general administration at zoos, sanctuaries or wildlife organizations.A career in the wildlife field requires serious preparation and long hours of hard work to acquire knowledge and skills; there is strong competition for positions. A dogged determination is necessary to keep your goals in sight. Many of these careers have higher education requirements, so early preparation is important. Most important skill required is communication skills - to be able to deal with villagers , who might not be educated or professional and it is very challenging.
I hope it will helpful to you .
Thanks
