Bachelor of Business Administration or BBA is one of the most popular bachelor degree programmes after class XII. A BBA course is the gateway to numerous job opportunities in a plethora of sectors. Sectors like Marketing, Education, Finance, Sales, and Government are just to name a few which offer opportunities to BBA graduates.
BBA can be pursued by student of any stream. The course is open for 12th pass students of Science, Commerce and Arts stream. To take admission in a BBA course, you should have completed class 12th with at least 50% marks in any stream under the Indian education system (CBSE or ICSE) or any equivalent board in India.
So the answer to your first question is yes, it is definitely possible for a science student to pursue a BBA course after class 12th. BBA is a 3-year professional undergraduate course in Business Management. It can be pursued in full-time as well as correspondence mode.
I understand that many of us believe that BBA is a business education course and usually a commerce student's cup of tea. We think they cope with it much more easily. But this is not the scenario anymore. Not to mention, science students are quite smarter and they also have a wider thought process. They can relate real life issues in the organisation well with projects, timelines, assembly lines, manufacturing and IT. That is why many IT professionals who have management knowledge are being hired in higher posts of the companies.
So it is not essential at all to have commerce for BBA, as all the subjects in BBA are taught from business management point of view and from scratch like management accounting, financial accounting, management mathematics, computer management etc. Every student gets to learn all basics. Though I am not denying that a commerce student definitely has a plus point over others as they'll be able to grasp an understanding in fields like accounting and business studies much faster. But hey, its 2020, don't forget it's all about you, your passions, interests, visions and your learning skills in any subject that makes you understand them and ultimately become a pro.
So the answer to your second question is that its not hard at all compared to what you have already studied in PCM/PCB.
