Hello aspirant,
If someone is pursuing Mtech from much higher IITs like IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, there are chances MTech guys could get selected. Although these firms strongly believe in strong programming skills irrespective of discipline of branch, still they do prefer hiring from CS and IT branch. Firms like google, facebook and microsoft visits only very few IITs which I have mentioned and generally they offer jobs to graduate students. Its very rare that they offer or even sometimes allows to sit in their campus interviews. So goodluck with that. Thanks for reading.
After completing M Tech you won’t have higher job opportunity than fresher graduates, mind that. M Tech gives you specialization which most of the company do not prefer because they have to pay more to you as your counter part of fresher graduates. Additionally, the younger graduates are more dynamic to work diversity where as post graduate are not generally flexible in working profile.
Facebook do hire from the IITs, but from very selective IITs.
