As per my observation, 500+ marks will be the minimum to get a govt college, that too in the second or third round of counseling. Your target should be about 550+ which will surely get you a seat in a well-known college. If you're eligible for 85% state quota counseling, then the minimum marks should be 490–510+ depending upon which state you belong to.
In Delhi, you will have to score 540 or 550+, in Rajasthan 520+ marks and in other states like West Bengal 490+ marks will be needed.
