Let me first hep you to understand what CSIR NET and JRF is Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) every year and through the test they award two certifications.
One is NET (LS) and NET (JRF).Everyone wants the JRF so the cut offs for NET-JRF automatically becomes higher than of NET-LS.
If you will qualify for NET-LS then you will become eligible to apply for teaching positions in various colleges and universities in India.
On the other hand if you will qualify JRF then you will get various options given below:

• You will become eligible for lectureship.
• Exemption from PhD entrance exams.
• Full financial support throughout your PhD
