I m in 12 science stream, i want to be ias officer so which stream should i choose in my graduation?
I can help you with better information
After 12 class many students have confusion between b tech or normal degree for IAS preparation.
From last few years the top score in ias exam is from engineering background. But the success rate is very less.
Very few students are succeed from MBBS stream also.
Better to take degree course like B.com, B.a etc where you can concentrate more for exam after degree.
Hope above information is helpful to you
All the best
Thank you
Greetings,
Raunaque I would advice and through this article will elaborate with every provided facts as to why I am suggesting you to take up a particular stream in your graduation course. So, I suggest that you should go for Humanities subjects in your graduation course for the reasons hereby stated:

Panchayati Raj
Indian Geography and World Geography( History of Partition , World Wars ,Tectonic Plates etc)
Organisations like SAARC,UNESCO,UNICEF etc

* As you can observe Raunaque that most of the topics which will lead you towards Mains are Humanities subject ( history , geography, economics, polity)and the 7 papers (only 2 are optional) which are a part of mains also contains most of the humanities subject

And if you do not want to go for Humanities subject them aim for IES after completing your engineering but if seriously want to become IAS officer than in my opinion you should look at the syllabus mentioned and then choose wisely.
Feel to drop a comment any time you encounter a doubt or have some queries I would be happy to resolve them .
You can become an ias officer regardless of the field in which you will do graduation.Though i suggest you should go for arts stream as that will helps you upto some extent in you preparation as that will be quite relevant accordingly your feild.
UPSC is a very difficult exam and lakhs of students appear in the exam year with a dream to become and ias, ips, irs etc officer and to be the one you will have to do something extraordinary so that you could become the one.
I hope this helps.
