Students of 10+2 pass or equivalent with minimum 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible to take admission in this course. The rules are relaxed for students belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories. After completing this course, the candidates can go for the master course in the Space Engineering from India as well as abroad and work in the field of research. Space engineering students can get employed in various areas like National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), Universities, ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization), DRDO (Defense Research and Development Organization). Space engineers can become a Research Scientist, Defence Industry Scientist, Research Associates, Scientific Officer, Environmental Scientist and Science Data Analyst. Students have to qualify the JEE Main to appear in the JEE advanced to enroll in this course in the IITs. After this exam, a merit list is generated and students have to go through the process of counselling. After getting rank in the JEE advanced exam, a merit list will be prepared and students have to attend the counseling session. Some of the reputed universities conduct their own test and students have to pass their entrance exam to take admission in the B.Tech Space Technology in these universities.
