I am a graduate in civil engineering.
Basic difference between both the branches is that civil is a core branch. Both are very different from one another. Computer science engineering will take you towards software companies. This branch gives you huge scope in private sector.

Whereas civil engineering has scope in private as well as government sector. Being a core branch it's knowledge is required in government competitive exams. It has good scope in private sector, companies such as reliance, L&T recruite civil engineers.
It depends on your interest as well. If you are interested in coding , learning languages such JAVA PYTHON , C++ and many more cSE is for you. But if  physics interests you and are curious about the structures such as buildings , bridges , tunnels and how they are constructed , Civil Engineering is for you.

Hello, if you have interest in civil engineering means you are interested in architecture, drawing, you should go with civil engineering otherwise I would recommend you to go with Computer Science Engineering as computer science engineering has better scope of placements than other branches, companies are more, placement are high, better chance for going to higher education, resarch.

But this also depends on college if you are getting a good college with civil engineering and a non so good means low ranked college with computer science engineering in this case a good college with high ranking is a better choice.

Also, most importantly a better college provides good infrastructure, placement and in a highly ranked college you will have chances to know new things and skills.

So, if you are interested in coding, getting a top college  in that case computer science engineering is a very good option.
Otherwise for a low ranked college placements are not so good.
