Dear Elakkiya, if you are an Indian citizen and have been studying abroad only for a specific period of time, you qualify as an Indian National. An NRI is someone who has been away for an indefinite period of time either for business, vocation or employment reasons. Staying abroad for educational purposes doesnt put you in the NRI Category. With this mentioned criteria, if you fall under NRI quota but have chosen Indian as your nationality, you will be only considered as an Indian. I hope this linke will be useful for you to identify your nationality correct. https://mcc.nic.in/PGCounselling/home/ShowPdf?Type=E0184ADEDF913B076626646D3F52C3B49C39AD6D&ID=733B57AE9E45BAE742221B555C15E97F45364893 ... Given is an email id that you can reach out to sort out the difference in your application. Good luck!
