Yes ofcourse you are eligible to take admission in BA hons English. The eligibility criteria for admission in this course is passing 10+2 from a recognised board with minimum 50% in the required subject. The admission is done on merit basis. It does not matter if you are from science, commerce or arts stream.

The eligibility criteria to apply for B.A English (Hons) is that a candidate must have passed 10+2 with minimum aggregate of 55% marks or more in English and combination of three best  subjects from among the following

• Any language subjects (core/elective) from List A
• Economics
• Geography
• History
• Legal Studies
• Mathematics
• Philosophy
• Political Science
• Psychology
• Sociology

You need to include the marks scored in English, any language listed in list A and the any two from the above mentioned list. If you have studied any two subjects listed above other than language from list A then there won't be any deduction on aggregate percentage. If you haven't studied and include any other subjects from list B in the best three will lead lead to a deduction of minimum 1% per subject on the aggregate and maximum deduction of 2% but you can apply for admission. If you include of any other subject than those in List A and List B in the combination of the best three then a deduction of 2.5% is applicable per subject in the aggregate of the Best Four.
