Hi Janhvi,

This decision depends on what you actually want in your life. If you have a passion for research and lab life is what makes you happy then there's no reason for you to do MBA. But if you don't crave those puzzles that research works has to offer you then you better not choose biotechnology. Because biotechnology is mainly a research field and working in labs is all they usually do.

About the question of either MSc or abroad, that depends on where you see yourself in next 5 years. Because as harsh as it is but in India the chances of becoming a great researcher are relatively less than abroad. There are many reasons to this like lack of funding, too much competition etc. But it is not impossible to make it here, it's just relatively difficult.

So if money's not a problem for you then you should try and go abroad if being a researcher is truly your jam. But if money's an issue then you can do your MSc here and go abroad for a PhD.

Hope this helps.
