Hello Humans...
History as an academic course covers the study of societies, cultures of a particular time. It also helps in enhancing our understanding of the past. A degree in history can give you many skills which you can use in different fields such as Law, museums, libraries, and archive work, publishing, journalism and media, archaeology, teaching, and many more.
First I would suggest you do a postgraduate degree in History after completing your graduation. There are three different types of specialization available as Archival study, Archaeology, and museology. There are many sub-fields of these major subjects. After completing your graduation you can opt for the above-mentioned major subjects. A postgraduate degree in history can pave the way to many career options.

For this, you need to have a professional teaching degree such as National Eligibility Test (NET) or a Ph.D. degree. Many colleges or universities have combined teaching & research posts. With a degree in History, you can start careers in the writing and broadcasting fields. The vital requirement for these jobs is one need to be very curious about the culture, societies, and history of the world and fact-checking and present old details in an interesting manner
- Archaeology; archiving & heritage:- Libraries, museums, and historical archives appoint history graduates to preserve old monuments or heritage. The work of an Archaeologist includes excavation. You can be an expert on coins known as Numismatist or an Epigraphist who decipher inscriptions
- Museologists:- They are the specialist who deals with the design, organizations, and management of museums. Their work includes research public relations and administration
