You can get a college for B.tech even if you don't have a very good percentile in jee exam because there are many other competitive exams like upsee, ipucet, wbjee etc. and performing well in any of these exams will help you to get a good college otherwise you can also go for direct admissions. There are many private colleges which provide admission directly under management quota.

If your JEE MAINS PAPER 1 AIR is not good enough then you can try looking for various Private colleges that take admission on the basis of JEE-MAINS result or you could go for other state universities.

However if you want to give JEE MAINS another shot then you can take a drop this year and can prepare of JEE MAINS but do this only when you are sure shot enough to not lose focus throughout the year.
