Yes, the difference in your parents' names between your passport and FMGE scorecard might create issues when collecting your passing certificate, as documents need to match for verification. The best solution is to contact the FMGE authorities or the National Board of Examinations (NBE) and request a name correction. You may need to submit an affidavit, a self-declaration, or supporting documents like your passport and birth certificate. Act quickly to avoid delays in receiving your certificate.
Dear aspirant !
Hope you are doing well !
However it will not create any problem. Still you can change it,change your name on any official certificate in India, first, obtain a notarized affidavit stating the name change. Then, publish the change in at least two newspapers (one local and one national). Finally, submit these documents, along with the original certificate, to the issuing authority for amendment.
Thanks
Hello there,
There can be a potential issue when there is a discrepancy between names on different documents, especially for official purposes like collecting your passing certificate. However, in most cases, authorities understand that minor discrepancies, such as missing surnames, can happen.
Possible Solutions:
-
Contact FMGE Authorities : Reach out to the FMGE conducting body (National Board of Examinations) and explain the situation. They might allow you to submit an affidavit or other supporting documents to confirm the names of your parents.
-
Affidavit : You can create an affidavit stating the correct names of your parents (with surname) and submit it along with your documents. This could be accepted as proof of the correct identity.
-
Get the Corrected FMGE Scorecard : If the issue persists, you may request a correction in the FMGE scorecard. This might involve providing proof of the correct names, such as birth certificates or other official documents.
-
Contact Passport Authorities : You can also approach the passport office to see if they can amend the name formatting or provide guidance on handling such discrepancies in your passport.
Make sure to keep both documents (passport and FMGE scorecard) along with the supporting documents handy when approaching the concerned authorities.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.
Having your parents' names with and without surnames in different documents may cause discrepancies. To avoid issues while collecting your passing certificate, you should get a name correction request processed with the relevant authorities. Contact FMGE for guidelines on name correction.
If your FMGE scorecard does not include your parents' surnames while your passport does, it may cause issues during document verification. To resolve this, you can contact the exam authorities and request a correction or provide an affidavit confirming the names belong to the same individuals.
