AFCAT is conducted for recruitment of Commissioned Officers in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branch of Indian Air Force for grant of Permanent or Short Service Commission. The exam is conducted twice in a year – February and August. The minimum educational qualification required to be eligible for AFCAT examination is graduation and age of candidates should be 20 to 26 years. The exam is conducted in two stages – AFCAT online test and Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) Interview. However, candidates applying for Ground Duty (Technical branch) are required to take an additional test, Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT). The notification for AFCAT 2 has been released on June 15, 2018. The application process has started.

Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is conducted by the Indian Air Force twice (usually in February and September) every year for selection of Officers in various branches of air force including Flying Branch, Technical Branch,Ground Duty Branch.
The Eligibility Criteria:
Graduation (3 years) in any discipline with Minimum 60% marks and should have passed Maths and Physics as subject at 10+2 level B.E/ B.Tech from a recognized University.
