Hello aspirant,
NEET was introduced to replace various medical entrance exams across the country, such as the AIPMT (All India Pre-Medical Test) and the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, which was introduced by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and CBSE. The main goal of the NEET exam is to streamline the admission process for MBBS and BDS courses. Previously, medical students had to fill out separate forms for various medical entrance exams in India. The NEET ensured that there is a single entrance exam for admission to all the medical courses across India.
