I need suggestions for chemistry preparation for both NEET and boards as not much time is left for boards???
NEET 2024: Cutoff (OBC, SC, ST & General Category)
NEET 2024 Admission Guidance: Personalised | Study Abroad
NEET 2025: Syllabus | Most Scoring concepts | NEET PYQ's (2015-24)
As you know that you don't have much time left for your boards and NEET preparations you need to plan and prepare accordingly. You can focus on ncert book and op tondon book rather than any other books for your preparations.Practice numericals and read conceptual problems and try to understand it.Focus more on organic chemistry- nomenclature, conversions, conceptual, mechanisms, name and reaction.Try to practice all these from ncert.Read ncert books at least 2 times as most of the questions will be based on ncert.Be confident and if you have any other query then you may comment here.
Good luck.
Time left for NEET UG (Around 10 May 2018) , that gives you around 4 months (around125 days)
As you say, you have to appear for board exam , so substract 45 - 50 days for the same...so around 75 days
Subject - 3 with biology carrying 50% of total marks..so around 30to 45 days for bio, Physics chemistry 15 days each....
Devote most of time say 80 % in NEET preparation and 20 % in board exam preparation.
Most important for NEET/AIIMS is your NCERT books as these books include basic principles and concepts and provide accurate information
KEEP NCERT + ONE REFERNCE BOOK + MAXIMUM MCQS PRACTICE.
.First of all you should prefer NCERT for revision first
take good command on organic chemistry.
I would like to mention some of the chapters:-
Class 11: Equilibrium,thermodynamics,p-block,s-block elements,general organic chemistry.
Class 12 : solutions, electrochemistry,surface chemistry,chemical kinetics,S and P block elements,polymer,biomolecules,alcohol,phenols and ether,amines and haloalkane and haloarenes.
These chapters must be prepared to ensure 120+ in chemistry and for sure!
Practice MCQS on daily basis
Correct your mistakes
Maintain your health
Give mock test in between to assess yourself
Think positive
Hope it helps

Hi iam giving you the neet chemistry chapter wise weightage.Have a look into it and keep on solving and revising these chapters accordingly
Keep more time on high weightage chapters and less on easy and low weightage chapters.Side by side solve board exams previous years papers 1 or 2 daily within a stipulated time so that you can get the vibes of exam hall.
1.Inorganic Chemistry
Inorganic Chemistry carries a weightage of 34 %. Among all the units,Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structurecarries the maximum weightage of 29.4%. All the major important topics are covered in this section. It is then followed byCo-ordination compoundsfrom which nearly17.6%of the question were asked on average from this unit
2.Organic Chemistry
Organic Chemistry carries the maximum weightage of 35.6%. From this, nearly 30 % (assuming total 100%) of the questions from previous year paper were fromOrganic compounds containing Oxygen. Basic Principles of Organic Chemistryis the second most important chapter and thus carries a weightage of 24.4%.
3. Physical Chemistry
This unit was given high importance in NEET 2017 exam. Accordingly, this unit carries 30.4% weightage.(Assuming total 100%) Among all,States of Matter and Solutions (24.1%)is the most important of all followed byEquilibrium (18.2%). Rest of the questions were asked from the different chaptercoveringChemical Kinetics and Nuclear Chemistry (14.6%), Thermodynamics and Thermochemistry (13.1%)and others
All the best.
