Hello there!
Gate examination is conducted on behalf of higher education, MHRD ( Ministry of Human Resource Development ) and National coordination board. Some colleges and institutions also require qualification of GATE exam. Gate 2022 will be conducted by IIT Kharagpur for 29 subjects, it is an computer based online test. This exam is conducted all over India and over 6 cities outside of India. Moreover, candidates should be aware that GATE exam scores are valid for three years only from the date of announcement of the results.
ELIGIBILITY
No age limit.
Must be citizen of India.
No minimum pass percentage required.
Candidates should have qualified or be in their final year of Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology (B.E./ B.Tech ) or Postgraduate ( M.Sc ) degree in any relevant science subject.

MCQs, multiple correct answers and numerical answers type questions are included in the examination.
There are total 3 sections except for AR, CY, GG, EY, XL, PH and MA papers :
General Aptitude, Engineering Mathematics (for XL papers it is Chemistry) and Subject – Specific section
Marking Scheme
Two types of MCQs:
MCQs - 1 mark for each correct answer; 1/3 mark will be deducted every wrong answer.
MCQs - 2 marks for each correct answer; 2/3 mark will be deducted for every incorrect response. There is no negative marking for Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions
