Hello Ria, getting disinterested in a particular career is a more common problem than you think. There is a whole lot of other options available here. I assume that you are from Science stream. The courses like Microbiology, Biotechnology, Agriculture, Food Technology, Life Science, Environmental Science, Applied Life Sciences, Biochemistry are on the rise in the country. Being a doctor or an engineer has become a mainstream career in India. There are students who are now looking to stand out of the crowd. This change in mentality has given a boost to above mentioned subjects. So, there has been an increament in employment opportunities for students in these fields. The salary is also high. For these fields people can get up to 9-10 lacs per year easily in India. There is also high chance of going to foreign countries. So, don't just sit there confused on what to do next. Just move along with the wind and enjoy your life.

Hello Ria!

You have to find out your skills and your interests in things except and as you said you did it but salary is something which makes you worry about things.

Look, it isn't possible in any profession to earn lots of money just after being graduated i.e as a fresher. In beginning, you may earn peanuts but at the end of all yiur skills decide your earnings.

Let me give you an example.

A 3rd year b.tech student in my college earns almost 50k per month by freelancing in Graphic Designing. How?

He started in 2nd year with 1k per month and working till 2 at night, but now he works in his comfort zone and takes limited work.

Why? Because he took interest in his work, he devoted his time in it, he didn't cared about whether others earn peanuts in the field of graphic designing or not. He was determined to earn more and he is earning very much while studying.

So don't opt a profession by looking at how much others are earning. Look at how much you are about to earn.

Hope that helps. All the best!

Hi Ria,

I understand the dilemma that you are facing. May I know what are the courses that you have done so that I can help you better? You can go for web development if you are cofortable with it. The income is low at the first but it increases with experience and as you learn new technologies. However, you can also go for Content Development as well. if you are comfortable with Sales, you can go for jobs for that as well. Sales usually offer very high salaries like 3-4LPA easily.

You can also study management or data science as well.
