I passed class 12 with 78% with PCM, now I wanted to do ba hons in philosophy so where can I get admission???..please guide

BA Hons Philosophy is an undergraduate Philosophy course. The duration of this course is 3 years which is divided into six semesters. Candidates who have passed H.S.C. examination (12th) or Intermediate examination in any stream from a recognized board are eligible for this course. Some colleges/ universities have merit-list for this course eligibility. Eligible candidates can apply for this course through online/offline in respective college websites or admission office.

Admissions for this course may vary from one college to another. Some colleges conduct common entrance exams/ their own entrance exams. Based on their marks obtained in the entrance exam, candidates will selected be for admissions. Most of the colleges have their own merit-list or cut-off marks to select candidates for admissions in this course.

The annual fees for this course range between INR 2,000 to INR 25 Lakhs based on the candidates marks obtained in their 10+2 or entrance exams.



Philosophy is the study of Fundamental and general problems which are connected to live like values, existence, reason, knowledge, language, and mind. Students will study and understand the relation between reality and experience. This course helps to encompass their common senses all the times and be aware as well.

In this course, Philosophy is one of those subjects which offer many choices to the candidates. This course helps the candidates to understand the existing issues. Major subjects in this course will include logic, ethics, politics, and religion. This course is designed for the students who will instill with a thought process of their own during the classes.

Philosophy graduates can build their careers in Law, Health professions, Federal, State, Local Government, Science, Business, Information Technology, and other related sectors. Candidates who have the interest to undergo further study can do Masters or any other post-graduation. They can get jobs in teaching or lecturing fields. The annual income of these professionals per annum ranges between INR 2 to 7 Lakhs as per their expertise and experience in this field.
