I passed the Higher secondary exam from West Bengal Board (regular) in 2008 with PCBE with 56%, How can I sit for AIIMS 2020?
Hii
The minimum eligibility requirement to appear in AIIMS MBBS Exam is that you must have qualified class 12th exam with PCBE and must have secured minimum oof 60% in general and OBC category and 50% in ST and SC category.
Now that you have secured only 56% so become ineligible for AIIMS MBBS.
If you wish to appear in AIIMS MBBS Exam i would suggest you to appear for improvement exam i.e either appear for class 12th exam as a private candidate from the state board or you can also go for NIOS 12th exam. Improve your score and then, you can apply for AIIMS MBBS.
Other than AIIMS, you can also go for NEET exam. For NEET the eligibility is 50% in class 12th for general category and 45% for OBC, ST and SC category. But NEET 2019 applications are over so you will have to wait for applications of NEET 2020.
Hope this helps
Incase of any doubt feel free to revert back
Thanks!!
Dear Indranil, for OBC category, the required minimum aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English is 60% and 56% cannot be considered qualified. You can appear for improvement exams, improve your aggregate and then appear for AIIMS MBBS 2020. Alternatively because NEET only requires 45% for OBC, you can appear for NEET in 20q9 only if you have filled in the application form and submiyted it.
