- Hello yashwanth first i want to congratulate you on clearing the mains exam one of the toughest exam in India.
- But only qualifying is not enough for getting top colleges.
- There are nearly 11169 IIT seats and17868 Nit seats.
- In these seats there are many quotas also like home state and obc, sc ,st, pwd and so on.
- So you should get a good rank to get into this institutes.
- So here rank plays a vital role always qualifying is just a parameter for attempting the jee advanced.
- If your rank is not well inside 12000 i hope to work hard and study well for advanced
- Because rank above 12000 will not give a very good nit as you expect.
- But remember one thing every nit is a good institute but some are not able to produce good students out of it.
- Hope you understand my point and move on with it as fast as possible and concentrate on advance.
- As it would be the most important exam for you in the life.
- Thank you
Hello Yashwanth!
For getting top colleges in JEE MAINS you must have scored decent rank. Just qualifying won't work for you. For top colleges through JEE MAINS you must have scored something above 250. If your rank is just above the qualifiying cutoff then it isn't possible to get a seat in top colleges.
Hope that helps!
Congratulations for your achievement!!!
Yes, you can get into top engineering colleges but it depends on what rank Or percentile you achieved.
If your percentile is up to the rank then you can get into govt colleges but not the branch you desire .Or you can try for good private colleges where you can get the branch of your choice.
All the best for your future!
