I qualified in MDS from Kathmandu University school of Medical sciences. Can I apply for MDS in any Indian college based on this result ?
You are saying that you qualified in MDS from Kathmandu University School if Medical Sciences and you want to apply in Indian Colleges based on that result, right¿
So , Sorry to say that you cannot apply in Indian Colleges based on that result.
To be eligible for this course, the candidate has to be a Bachelor of Dental Science graduate from a recognised Dental College in India with a minimum of 50%.
And one has to give NEET MDS test to take admission in Government and private institutions all over India.
NEET MDS -Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Nationals
- As per MDS course Regulations 2017: It is not mandatory for foreign nationals to have temporary registration with DCI at the time of writing NEET-MDS. Foreign Nationals can write NEET-MDS without DCI registration. Provided that in the case of a foreign national, the following procedure shall be followed:
- The Council may, on payment of the prescribed fee for registration, grant temporary registration for the duration of the post-graduate training restricted to the dental college/institution to which he or she is admitted for the time being exclusively for post-graduate studies.
Candidates possessing a PG Diploma recognised by Dental Council of India with the duration of two years is also eligible for MDS.
M.D.S. Eligibility in India- A Candidate should be physically fit to undergo the M.D.S course and should not suffer from any contagious disease.
- The minimum qualification for this course is Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S) or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Dental Council of India. Candidate not possessing a recognized Dental qualification for the above purpose should secure the prior approval of his qualifications by the Dental Council of India before he can be admitted to the M.D.S. course of any University in India.
