I scored 10 CGPA in 10th, 88.6% aggregate in class 12th and 7.9 CGPA (75%) in Bsc Zoology. I am expecting my CAT percentile to be anywhere between 80-85. I belong to general category. Which colleges should I hope to get a call from ? Also, what are my chaces of getting into GIM, Goa and IMT,Nagpur?

With this percentile, IIMs might be out of question. You might have to opt for other B-Schools. Before we give you the list of the Colleges that you can apply for, we shall give a brief of GIIM Goa and IMT Nagpur. GIM Goa has 4 programmes and each one has a different shortlisting criteria. You can check the complete process at: https://www.gim.ac.in/2019/how-to-apply.php#eligibility. But to give you a faint idea, for example, for PGDM HCM the process is as follows:

Candidates will be shortlisted based on over all profile.

There is no specific cut off

The main focus will be to admit students with profile mix

Every Candidate who is eligible and has applied for this programme and has been shortlisted will be interviewed.  So you do have fair chances for a seat in GIM, Goa.

IMT Nagpur follows slightly a different process. Their weightage is as follows:

CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT percentile

35%

Academic score of Graduation

25%

Work experience

10%

Academic Diversity

10%

Group Exercise & Personal Interview

20%

Total

100%

You need to have atleast 80 percentile and above to  be shortlisted for IMT Nagpur. Those Candidates shortlisted based on their Test score will be also called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Based on the performance in these rounds and other factors included, the final merit list is prepared. You can check that at: https://www.imtnagpur.ac.in/admissions. Now you do have fair chances in both GIM Goa and IMT Nagpur based on your profile. Apart from these 2 colleges, your other chances might be in:

IIT Kharagpur

Great Lakes

UNIPUNE

Delhi School of Economics

Fore School of Management

Nirma University

priyaankasarkar Metro cities are most certainly preferable. Other than that, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab, Hyderabad. To be honest I don't mind the location, what matters is a good college. What about UBS, Chandigarh and TAPMI, Manipal ?
