Hello there,
With a NEET score of 288 , your chances of getting into a good government college are quite limited, especially in the open category. Here are a few factors to consider:
-
Cut-off Trends : Government medical colleges typically have higher cut-off marks for admission, and based on previous years' trends, scores for general category admissions can be significantly higher than 288. For instance, in the past years, cut-off scores for MBBS in many states were above 400 for open category seats.
-
PWD Category Advantage : As you mentioned being in the open PWD category , you may have some advantage, as many states offer lower cut-offs for Persons with Disabilities (PWD). However, the extent of this advantage varies by state and college.
Counseling and Seat Availability
: It's essential to participate in the counseling process actively. Some colleges may have unfilled seats in later rounds, but the competition remains tough, and seats are limited.
Alternative Options : If securing a government college is unlikely, consider private colleges or other allied health courses as alternatives. Some private colleges may have lower cut-offs and could still provide quality education.
For the most accurate and updated information regarding specific colleges and cut-off trends, I recommend checking your state's counseling website or the official NEET website.
