Hello,

As you have mentioned that your neet score is 494 marks and your state rank is 4533. But you haven't mentioned your category. Nevertheless, with these marks you won't be able to get a government medical college for mbbs. With these marks definitely you can get a private medical college for MBBS. You have a good chance to get into private colleges in Maharashtra. You need not to drop a year and try it again.

For the second option, with 498 marks if you apply under 85% home state quota in Maharashtra then you would be able to fetch a government seat for BHMS or BAMS or BUMS.

Either you can go for MBBS in private medical colleges or you can go for other medical courses except MBBS in government medical colleges.

I hope this would help you. For further queries please feel free to write me down in the comment box.

If getting a government college is not possible for MBBS you can try for private colleges if MBBS is your prime target.Else you can also do BDS if you want since it has a good demand.Except neet if you haven't given other entrance exams then you have to go for honours.Think over the subjects you like and then choose.Based on pcb you can take microbiology, biotechnology, zoology ,botany, physics and chemistry honors.

Hey if you belong to reserved category then you will get a government college but you won't get a government seat if you belong to UR category.. You can try for private medical college if you can afford in lakhs.. You can also go for biotechnology or research according to your point of interests.. Good luck.. Hope this helps..
