Hello,
With a CLAT 2025 score of 52.50, your chances of securing admission to a National Law University (NLU) will largely depend on your category, the overall difficulty of the exam, and the trends in cutoff scores for that year.
In previous years, general category candidates typically needed 75+ marks to secure admission to a top-tier NLU, while lower-ranked NLUs had cutoffs in the 50–60 range . For reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwD), the cutoff was lower, sometimes around 40–50 marks for certain NLUs.
If you belong to a reserved category, your score might give you a chance in the lower-ranked NLUs, especially in newer ones. However, for general category candidates, a 52.50 score is less likely to meet the cutoff unless the overall score distribution is significantly lower this year. Exploring state domicile reservations, private law schools accepting CLAT scores, or retaking the exam could be worthwhile options.
