So with regard to your query, generally as per the eligibility criteria of JEE mains 2022 a candidate should score more than 75% marks in their 12th standard or in case if your score is less than 75% then you must score top 20 percentile in the JEE exam, which means you need to score between 80 to 90 percentile.
As you have mentioned that you are going to score more than 95 percentile in Jee main then you will be eligible for NITs.

Hope you are doing great ! Yes, for getting nit or other colleges for engineering ,your class 12th marks doesn't matter , if you score just ,95 percentile in jee mains then you will get lower nit with lower branch ,you must think of high marks and percentile ,even jee main has postponed now ,you can achieve good percentile ,at least try to get 98+ percentile , otherwise it's not worth ,but if you are not from general category then you can get good nit at low percentile also . But if ,from general then get high percentile only.
