Hi Sahil,
According to you rank, you have very less chances of getting main NIT. But You should try in CSAB special councelling, you might get seat there.
You can get NIT Agartala - civil, cse and as well as electrical branches, NIT Jalandhar - Civil as well as electrical branches.
There are many colleges other than this you can get admission through JOSAA counseling in this there are 111 top colleges you can get better college than NIT,
To secure a seat in one of the NITs, IIITs or GFTIs with a Respectable Branch, being from SC Category you must target a ST Rank of atleast 7k. For the SC Rank, the corresponding CRL will be anywhere around 150-160k, and a Percentile Target of atleast 85-86.
Hope this helps.
Hello aspirant ,
If you want to get admission in any branch of NIT, then you may have a chance to get a seat in lower NITs like Agartala, Hamirpur, Puducherry, Silchar Mizoram and like wise....
To get admission in IITs, NITs, GFTI colleges, you need to register for JoSAA counseling.
For JoSAA your category rank will be considered. There are limited seats for a particular category in any branch.
In JoSAA counselling, first your category will be seen for your First preference or choice then it will be checked that if seat is available or not fir your category ,if seat is not available then your next preference will be checked.
You can check Last year JoSAA counselling cut off of all NITs according to the counselling Rounds, branch and your category through the following link.....
