To get admission in Thapar University, your JEE Mains rank is considered apart from the Bio-Tech branch in which NEET rank is considered.
First, you need to understand that to be eligible for this college, you need to score an aggregate of at least 60% in Physics + Maths + (CS/Bio/Chem/BioTech) and there is a relaxation of 5% for SC, ST students i.e. 55%.
For admission, you need to fill the application form for counseling which is conducted by Thapar University itself in which your JEE Mains rank will be considered. You can fill this form from the official site of Thapar University-

The fee of the form is Rs. 1500.
According to last year cutoff of first counseling, the closing rank for CS branch for students outside Punjab was 29595 and you need to score at least 129 marks in JEE Mains.
After the third and final round of counseling, the closing rank for CS branch for students outside Punjab was 46770 and minimum marks in JEE Mains was 109.
So, if you have scored 130+, you have a very good chance of selection.
