Hello
Eligibility Criteria and Combination of Subjects for Calculation of Merit for admission to B.A.(Hons.) Economics in Delhi University is as follows:
- Candidate must have studied and passed Mathematics at the qualifying examination for admission to B.A. (Honours) in Economics.
- The merit shall be determined on the basis of one language and three best academic/elective subjects as specified in List A and List B. To check the list A and list B, kindly refer to the page 5 and 6 of the information bulletin using the given link: http://www.du.ac.in/du/uploads/COVID-19/28062020_UG.pdf
- Out of three academic/elective subjects you will choose, one must be the concerned subject in which the admission is sought, failing which a deduction of 2.5% will be imposed on the aggregate “Best Four” percentage.
- Inclusion of any subject other than those given in Lists A and B (check the subjects in list A and B from the information bulletin) in the “best three” will lead to a deduction of 2.5% per subject on the aggregate of the Best Four.
So, it is not necessary to include the marks of Mathematics in the best four. You must have studied and passed mathematics.
