Although you didn't mention about the name of the exam but the choice  concerned it is just for their study and research purpose for any examination therefore you don't need to worry about as you don't need to provide any proof regarding this , however for certain examination this may not be correct but without knowing the examination this is a general perception regarding the selection of self study versus coaching
