First of all I would advise you to get the correction done if possible. If not then you may move on. For a straight answer it will not harm you. As long as it does not clash with some legal procedures.

While filling a form utmost care must be taken and the details must be crosschecked atleast twice so that it doesnt cause any problem in the future
