i studied mpc and i want to join degree college which course is best for IAS exam
Hello,
First of all in order to appear for UPSC, you need to be 21 years old and completed graduation in any stream from a recognized university, you can also appear in the final year of graduation, there is no such barrier in terms of belonging to any specific stream, this year itself one of the topper who comes from IIT background succeeded with physics as optional subject, now this is something which can surprise a lot of people, hence it has got lot more to do with your choices, for instance even if you stick to science stream , you will be still eligible to appear for UPSC, and in case you want to have other back-up plans such as higher studies or teaching, it's a good option, but if you're wholly and solely focused on clearing UPSC, then having humanities subjects in graduation help such as political science, sociology, economics, geography, history, public administration etc , but remember that no matter what stream you choose, you'll be still eligible and moreover it's you focus, dedication, and perseverance which will sail you through this exam.
Hi Rajnikanth,
No course is better than the other for IAS exam but yes, every course has its advantages. Now, as you are from MPC stream you can go for Engineering if you have interest in it as in Engineering, the syllabus will be big and you will get to know how to sit for long long hours and study. Next option is B.Sc, in B.sc. you get more time for IAS preparation because syllabus will be somewhat lesser. Other option is BA, here you get tons of free time to study for IAS as there will no syllabus completion burden.
Now, I have told you about all the courses, choose yourself which one to pursue wisely.
Feel free to ask doubts in the Comment Section.
I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!
Hello applicant,
* I will provide you with information about the which course you should join in degree college to write an IAS exam. So, to become eligible for the exam you can choose any subject or course of your preference after your 10+2 for your graduation,
* There is no such thing like selecting a perticular course to become eligible for for UPSC or the IAS examination all you need to be eligible is that you should be a graduate in any discipline
* I wanna recommend you that choosing the arts or humanities will be helpful for the UPSC exam, because by this you will get to learn the subjects like history , polity etc which are a part of the UPSC syllabus that's why I have recommended you this course.
