You need to convert your CGPA into percentage as marks allotment according to each guidelines is done on the basis of percentage only.

You need to confirm the pattern how to convert your CGPA into percentage from your college because different colleges follow different pattern in converting their CGPA into percentage. Like during my graduation in IIT Roorkee they follow a pattern of (CGPA*10)+5, whereas IIT Madras follow CGPA*9.5.

So please confirm the conversion pattern followed by your college and make sure to take an official  proof by your college for your conversion pattern.

If there is no pattern followed then you can simply convert CGPA into percentage multiplying by 10 but still make sure to get a proof for this conversion also to be on safe side.
