According to the UGC revised guidelines on examination in the view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the final semester exam must be conducted and also the students having the backlog should compulsorily be evaluated by conducting the examination in offline or online mode.

For 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year students the marks will be provided based on the internal marks. Exams will not be conducted for them.

Recently Tamilnadu state CM has requested the central government to cancel the exams for Final year students also. You need to wait for the final confirmation from the state government.

MHA, said exams are compulsory to MHRD and MHRD minister is agreed with that. But some states refuse to conduct exams and risk the students life. Soon, ugc implement the guidelines for exams but as my personal view exams may be cancelled.

In current situation, the final year students exams have must and advisory issued by MHA and rest 1st 2nd and 3rd year students get promotion on the basis of internal assessment and previous year result.
