I take Biology, Phtsics, Chemistry and Maths in class 11 & 12. Can I study B. Tech after 12 though I didn't take CSE in class 11 & 12?

Hey,

That's completely okay if you have nor studied Computer Science in your intermediates. The basic requirement to pursue Engineering is to complete your 12th from a recognized board with Science stream having Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics as your mandatory subjects.

Suppose,if you clear your JEE mains or Advanced and you happen to get Computer Science Engineering branch(which is the most popular amongst students now a days considering the ever-rising growth in number of IT industry),then you need not worry as you will be taught the codings etcetera from scratch.

You can follow the link given below of Career360 Talent Search Exam,it will help you with your preparation:

Hope this helps you.

Good luck.

Hello,

First of all it is not a problem if you have not taken CSE. Most people studying B.tech CSE haven't even written a single line of code in classes 11 and 12. Thus what you study in 11 and 12 don't have a major role in your study of 4 years for B.tech. For the sake of criteria, you have to have PCM as subjects in your class 12 boards and as it is visible, you have it.

Thus let me state that clear, you can study CSE in any college you want as you are eligible. Your CSE syllabus is not a continuation of class 12 CSE thus stay relaxed, you ain't missing anything.

Hope it helps

Hey there Rabinchandra. Hope you're having a great day.

First of all there is no need to panic about it and from one perspective it's real hard to get through your Class 11 and 12 examinations with PCMB. Congratulations on achieving this feat and I would like to inform you that all of your hard woek has not been wasted which means you can obviously apply for CSE in whichever college you want based on the rank in different examinations or JEE.

PCMB is no barrier for taking CSE and you should'nt have a mandatory prior knowledge about Computer Science for taking admission in this stream. Go ahead and start your preparations for it from the first day itself.

Hope this clears all doubts. Have a nice day.

Hello dear student,

Greetings! ! !

Yes of course you can take admission in b.tech and not only take admission but you can even take computer science as there's no requirement that one should have CS as subject is class 11 and 12 for it.

Only requirement is that you need to score good marks as  for admission in IITs,NITs, IIITs & CFT candidates must have secured at least 75% in their class12th board exams (65% for SC/ST students).

thankyou

Feel free to ask your further queries if any.
