Stress is very common these day because of the large number if competition everywhere. Stress in a restricted way is good as it keep you motivated to be in the race. Overstressing may hamper your confidence and that's what is happening with you right now.
Don't be too hard on yourself and don't think two much about your age. Always remember it's never to late and once you achieve something everything you have gone through will vanish.
Try concentrating on clearing the exam rather than focusing on other things as it will only distract you from your path.
Try meditation and do some excersize to keep your body and mind healthy so that you can think properly.
