Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) MAIN will be conducted by the NTA from 2019 onwards in two sessions. The first session is completed in January and the second session will be held in April.JEE Main is applicable for admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating though Central Seat Allocation Board.
Eligibility Criteria:
For appearing in the JEE (Main) examination there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed XII examination in 2017, 2018 or appearing in 2019 irrespective of their age can appear in JEE (Main) examination – 2019. The candidates should also satisfy themselves about their fulfilling the age limit requirements of the Institutes in which they are desirous of taking admission.
LIST OF QUALIFYING EXAMINATIONS :
Number of subjects in the Qualifying Examination :
Candidates must have taken at least five subjects in class 12th/qualifying examination in order to be eligible for writing JEE (Main)-2019. The candidates who have taken four subjects are not eligible to write JEE (Main)- 2019 and if such candidates appear in JEE (Main)-2019. Only for B.Arch., the candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Qualifying Examination.
In the qualifying examination, you shoould take atleast 5 subjects and you should pass all of them to be eligible.And it is okay that the percentage is taken from the best 4 subjects.So make sure that you are attempting a minimum of 5 papers before applying for JEE Main.
