i want a diploma of 1 year for journalism ( distance education). pls suggest me some colleges.. i have scored 90% in class 12th cbse 2018...
Dear Amisha,
I am answering to
your question, with keeping one factor in my mind that you aspire to
do 5-year integrated LLB programme from an NLU. So first of all I
would like to tell you that Journalism is a vast area which includes
sports journalism, investigative journalism, fashion journalism,
print journalism, legal reporting, business and financial journalism
etc. and a person who has flair for writing can make a successful
career in journalism field. In order to become a good journalist one
requires good writing, editing, research and communication skills
everything else to me is secondary. One doesn’t need a degree or
diploma to become a journalist. As you can see, legal reporting is
also a part of journalism. You prepare well for CLAT crack it with
flying colour and gain mastery in legal domain then take a call
whether you want to pursue a career in LAW or Legal Journalism field
or want to do both. A degree or diploma is not necessary for entering
in the field of journalism unless you want to join government jobs.
So, In your case, it seems to me that you should go full throttle for
preparing CLAT, there will be English & Comprehension, General
Knowledge & Current Affairs, Elementary Mathematics, Legal
Aptitude and Logical Reasoning sections in your exam. Master the art
of English writing and gain command over General Knowledge &
Current Affairs, this will not only help you in CLAT preparation but
these are also essential qualities for becoming a good journalist.
One more thing, doing Diploma in journalism after 12 might mar your
chances of performing will in CLAT.
I hope it helps!
