Hi there.
You have mentioned that you are preparing for NEET 2019. And in the question you have talked about getting into a college for pursuing B.Sc in Physics.
To be honest, you cannot sail in two boats at the same time. Be focused on any one of the plans.
Anyway, for getting into a college for B.Sc in Physics all have you to do is to score high marks in your Class XII boards. For scoring excellently you must be thorough with your NCERT textbooks along with HC Verma.
Refer previous years questions, solve NCERT exemplar. Take mock tests and revise as much as possible. Do not ignore summary of each chapter of NCERT and always remember to read the Points to Ponder section of the NCERT as well.
For NEET, in physics along with the NCERT and HC Verma you should follow DC Pandey. It has a lot of questions that will make your concept crystal clear. Not only that, try solving last 10 years papers of NEET and don't forget about NCERT exemplar.
Coming to your strategy, devoting time depends on your speed, accuracy and daily routine. Hence I wouldn't tell you how many hours you should be spending while studying rather try devoting as much time as possible. Start with NCERT first, solve each example and exercise questions. After that move to NCERT exemplar, try solving all questions from there too. When you are done with it, go on to previous year questions, check the trends and try to solve a few questions from there too.
Do not get disheartened when you are unable to solve major questions. The more practice you do, the better you get. After all this, move on to DC Pandey. At this stage after doing so many questions you'll be able to do half of level 1 questions easily and slowly move to level 2.
Follow this strategy for all chapters and you'll get great marks in Physics.
To score high in boards, with Physics you'll need to focus on other subjects too. Try following a similar strategy for the other subjects too.
Also, please remember that in today's competitive world it is very difficult to get a job right after your Bachelor's that is B.Sc.
Hence, do not stress about Job prospects much now. First get into a college that has good faculty and academics. Study further to get a Master's degree and then you can start looking for job opportunities. Many would come on your way on their own!
Good colleges/Universities in India for a B.Sc in Physics are (in no specific order of ranking)
1. Presidency College, Kolkata.
2. Jadavpur University.
3. Amity Institute.
4. St. Xavier's College, Kolkata or Mumbai.
5. VIT
6. IITs/NITs
etc. If you want information regarding a particular college you can post your question here. We will be happy to help.
