Yes if then you should go through the admission process for proceeding then, but first let me tell you the eligibilty criteria for admission in the course:
- The candidates must have secured minimum 75% aggregate marks at the 10+2 level (for colleges accepting admission through JEE examination
- The age of the candidate must be minimum 17 years or above
- The candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination under science stream with subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology from a recognized board.
- Submitting your JEE Mains or any other equivalent entrance examination during the admission are mandatory
Secondly the admission into this course is done based on the marks scored in entrance examination like JEE Mains or JEE Advanced or many state and university level exams like MHT CET, WBJEE,etc.
So if you are meeting the requirements mentioned above you are eligible for a seat for Btech in Biotechnology Engineering.

The academic criterion of Biotechnology Engineering is divided into three courses/programmes as follows:
1. Diploma courses leading to the polytechnic diploma of 3 years duration.
2. UG courses leading to the B.Tech degree of 4 years duration.
3.PG courses leading to the M.Tech (Master of Technology) degree of 2 years duration.
To get admission in biotechnology you can either get into various NIT's and GFTI'S by giving jee main examination.
