SBI PO is conducted by
State Bank of India to recruit candidates for the post of
Probationary Officers (PO). SBI PO is held in three exam stages - prelims, mains and interview.
Candidates qualifying all stages of the exam will be shortlisted for recruitment on probation for a period of two years wherein they will need to undergo rigorous training. Towards the end of probation, candidates have to undergo a screening procedure during which officers achieving the predetermined standards will be given placement in next higher grade - Officer Middle Management Grade Scale-II while others who qualify the test yet fail to achieve the
set
standards for placement in Middle Management Grade Scale-II, will be confirmed as Officer Junior Management Grade Scale-I. Officers who fail to qualify in this process will be relieved of their posts. For a more detailed information regarding SBI PO, click on the link below.
SBI PO is a computer based test to be conducted in two phases - preliminary and mains. You should be graduate to apply for the exam. The age limit is maximum 30 years as a general category & 3 & 5 years relaxation for reserved category (OBC & SC/ST).

It is an objective exam. 1 mark for correct answer whereas 0.25 for incorrect anwer.

It will be devided in to two parts objective & descriptive. The exam will be of 3 hour and online test paper will have 155 multiple choice questions.
The objective will be 200 marks & There will be penalty of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Descriptive Test: The descriptive test will be conducted along with mains exam. This paper will test the letter and essay writing skills of candidates. The SBI PO 2017 descriptive test will be of 30 minutes duration and carries 50 marks.

State Bank of India (SBI) conducts Probationary Officers (PO) recruitment exam for selecting of approximately 2403 candidates for PO Post. SBI PO is a computer based test to be conducted in two phases - preliminary and mains. Candidates who will qualify the mains will be subsequently called for a Group Discussion (GD) & Interview.
Below is the eligibility criteria of the exam-
- Candidate must be graduated in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification
- Candidates appearing in final year/semester of Graduation can also apply provided they need to provide proof of having passed the graduation exam as on or before July 1, year of recruitment
- Candidates must not be more than 30 years of age and less than 21 years as on April 1, year of recruitment.
