Dear Aspirant,
The Andhra University is known for its most special component, which is its School of Distant Education. This component began in 1972 and has been striving hard to impart higher education to people located in the distant regions of Andhra Pradesh and different regional locations. There is no difference in the syllabus the students of the School of Distant Education study and the syllabus of the students attending the full time course. They are subjected to the same rules and regulations that the regular students are guided by. The Degree that is awarded is also same, which in your case is an MSc in Psychology
The MSc in Psychology is a three year course that has a total fee of approximately Rs 25,000. The basic eligibility is any Bachelor's Degree, preferably a relevant subject. In the first year, the course fee is Rs 15,000 and in the second year the course fee is Rs.10,000.
The students are given a learning package that comprises of self-learning study material (reference books and texts), audio video packages of the lessons and also are given access to having a face to face interaction with the faculty.
An interesting feature of this University is that they have their very own local radio station named "Gyani Vani" that attends to the needs of the students and learners. It can be tuned on 106.4 Mhz under FM. Currently, there are 34 study Centres that are built to help and meet the needs of the learners . The core activities of the Study centre are marked by the following activities: The conduct of examinations, applications, face-to-face interaction, dissemination of information, etc. constitute the core activities of the Study Centre
Hope this helps. All the best!
