Hello candidate,
It's a fact that subjects such as algebra, geometry and trigonometry carry an importance weightage in the prestigious CAT examination, but you don't need to just leave your preparations if you are weak in these subjects.
First of all, try looking at your basics and solve the questions from NCERT class 8th to 10th standard which will help you to get your fundamentals correct, and then gradually moves towards the entrance books and try solving sample papers and detect mock test of specific chapters which you feel you are weak at. This strategy will help you to to gradually improve when you can also overcome your fear of failure.
All the best for your examination!!
You should again try for the CAT Examination. As far as your weaknesses are concerned, not only for Algebra and Trigonometry, for the Quantitative Ability Section Preparation, you should first completely solve Sarvesh Verma Book by Arihant followed by Career Launcher Quant Book as well as Previous Year CAT Papers Quant Section. This will really strengthen your aptitude and intellect for this section. Try to do this exercise by June-July followed by a month or two preparing from Arun Sarma Book for bettering your level of Quantitative Aptitude and temperament towards tougher questions. The last three months must be utilised solving the Previous Years Papers again as well as answering lot of Mock All India CAT Tests, by providers like TIME or Career Launcher.
