Sorry, you can not apply for UPSC CDS exam,only graduate students are applicable for CDS Entry. If you are interested to join army after 12 as commissioned officer you can go for NDA exam “National Defence Academy Exam”. It is also conducted by Upsc just like as cds exam.

Who said that you can't sit for the cds exams!

You can easily appear for cds exam without having maths in your 10+2. Because each year around 417 posts are filled with this combined defence services exam for the posts of office cadre in Army/Navy/Officer's Tranning Academy.

The no.posts are as for each cadre is as follows :-

1. 100 posts for IMA,Dehradun

2. 45 posts for INA,Ezhimala

3. 32 posts for AFA,Hyderabad

4. 225 posts for OTA,Chennai(men)

5. 15 posts for OTA,Chennai (women)

So,out of these 4 cadres of men, you are eligible for 2 cadres-

1. for Indian Military Academy and,

2. for Officer's Tranning Academy; because you can easily fulfill the eligibility criteria for both these cadres posts.

Following are the eligibility criteria for these two cadre posts:-

1. Graduation in any stream

2. Age limit between 19-24 years

3. Must be a cotizen of India/Nepal/Bhutan

The exam pattern is as follows:-

Phase1- written exam

•english+ •gk+ •elementary maths(100 mark each)

Phase2- interview + personality test

#for ota:-

Phase1- •english+ •gk(100 mark each)

Phase2- interview +personality test

So, you can now easy check all the eligibility and go apply for the cds exams.
