b.tech in film direction is mostly technical oriented and have subjects like lightning, film editing, film design, digital art and composting, RESEARCH APPLICATION IN FILM MAKING, MOTION PICTURE PHOTOGRAPHY, DIGITAL ARTS AND GRAPHICS etc. so b.tech course has more practical exposure then b.sc. however you must have take admission to a tier 1 college where placement is good and students have internship opportunities. film making knowledge can gain in best way to do internship with reputed industry.
