I want to be a physiotherapist.What entrance exam i must attempt for it?

Hello Meenakshi

You need to appear for the BPT examination which is based on the Neet rank and the cutoff is definitely lower than the MBBS cut off and it somewhere around 250 to 300 to 720

A separate counselling will be held for the same

Also you must have completed 17 years of age by the 31st December of the year in which you are giving the examination and master got at least 50% marks in each of physics chemistry and Biology in your class 12 board examinations

Hello

To get admission in BPT you have to appear in neet and admission would be based on score in neet

I won't be able to tell the cut off because from rhis year only admission in bpt would be based on neet



Eligiblity criteria for neet is



Lower Age Limit: Candidates should complete 17 years at the time of admission or will completed on or before 31st December 2018

Upper limit : no



Unreserved Category (UR)Born before 1st January 2002

SC/ST/OBC CategoryBorn before 1st January 2002



Qualification Criteria



Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have passed the higher/senior secondary examination or ISCE which is equivalent to 10+2 examination after a period of 12 years study.

Subjects: Candidates must pass the above qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology & Mathematics or any other elective subjects with English.

Minimum Marks: Candidates must secure minimum 50% marks (GEN), 40% marks (SC/ST/OBC), 45% marks (GEN PH) & 40% marks (SC/ST/OBC-PH) taken together in PCB subjects.

Appearing Candidates: Candidates who are in the 12th standard can also apply. They must have to show the passing certificates complying with the percentage criteria at the time of first round of counselling.



Candidates must be the citizen of India.

NRIs (Non-Resident Indians), OCIs (Overseas Citizen of India), PIOs (Persons of Indian Origin) & Foreign Nationals can also apply.

For you to be an physiotherapist it is now mandatory to give admissions based on the NEET examination scores so as per the government rule you have to be passed in the NEET examination for getting into any of the physiotherapy colleges of your choice so do prepare for NEET examination for the admission to the career in you want.

For pursuing a course on physiotherapy, you are required to appear for NEET-UG examination, based on which a merit is prepared at a state level counselling and seats are alloted accordingly.

hi minakshi , you should give NEET exam to be eligible for physiotherapy course

NEET 2018 Examination is most likely to be held on 10th May (Thursday) 2018 . NEET 2018 Application Form will be released in the month of January 2018.CBSE conducts NEET for admission across all medical colleges in india except aiims,and jipmer.The exam pattern is as follows:-

physics-45 questions each carrying 4 marks

chemistry-45 questions,each carrying 4 marks

and biology 90 questions each carrying 4 marks as well.hope this helps good luck

Hello Minakshi, As per your query i would like to tell you From this year i.e 2017 Onwards it is made mandatory for not only Physiotherapy but all Professional Health science courses that the student has to give NEET exam to study this courses and get admission in college.
